Mark your calendars for the 25th Anniversary of happening at Miami Dade College - North Campus on March 15, 2025. This isn't just another event, it's an all-out community powwow to shine a light on domestic violence while also dishing out some much-needed healing and hope. The theme is "Breaking the Silence - Healing Hearts, Building Hope," which sounds like a Hallmark card but is actually going to be a day full of connection and support. One of the main attractions? Urgent, Inc. is taking the wheel with a workshop on teen dating violence awareness, helmed by the knowledgeable Shedia Nelson.

Oh, and if you're one of the first 100 students who waltz in, you'll snag a free copy of Nelson's book, She Kept Her Bra On: Chronicles of a Teenage Love Affair. It's a three-part play series and should make for some enlightening reading. The best part is that this gathering is free of charge, meaning your wallet can take a breather while you mingle and maybe even rack up some community service hours if you're a high schooler. And just to sweeten the deal, there'll be complimentary breakfast and lunch to keep your energy up. So, come for the connection, stay for the food and the good vibes.
