Women's History Month Concert

A special concert celebrating the music of Latin American women composers and performers is being held at the Deering Estate Visitor Center theater. The event showcases a variety of musical styles, including contemporary ballads, romantic boleros, traditional folk, and more. Featuring artists such as Maria Teresa Vera, Chabuca Granda, and Celia Cruz, the concert promises to be a memorable experience for fans of Latin American music or anyone interested in celebrating women's contributions to the art form during Women's History Month. The concert will feature Susana Behar on vocals, Michel Gonzalez on guitar and cuatro, Michael Font on percussion, Miguel Gomez on double bass, and Juanito Marquez on flugelhorn, trumpet, and trombone. Tickets are available at a cost of $10 to $50.
